Operating on and off-chain networks, Tigris allows users to trade forex and commodities directly from their digital wallets. The platform distinguishes itself with an offchain system for price data, ensuring instant trade settlement without compromising security. Tigris launched in September 2022 with a governance model in which Governance NFT holders are the main stakeholders of the Tigris Trade DAO. Binary options on Tigris allow users to speculate on short-term price movements of assets within fixed durations ranging from four minutes to four hours. While there are no direct fees involved, a spread ensures instant execution at guaranteed prices.

TIG is the protocol token enabling users to stake for trading fee rewards and participate in governance decisions. Stakers receive significant portions of market order trading fees with remaining profits distributed in real-time as tigUSD or tigETH.

xTIG is an additional reward token for traders who generate platform fees over specific epochs or windows lasting one week each. Traders have multiple options upon claiming their xTIG rewards: immediate unlocking with penalties or waiting until epoch’s end for full value conversion into TIG.
