Unleashing the Power of Distributed Graphics Processing: An In-Depth Dive into RNDR

In an era where digital content is king, distributed graphics processing has emerged as a game-changer. RNDR, a token facilitating this revolution, stands at the forefront.

What sets RNDR apart? It allows artists to exchange GPU compute power via a decentralized network, tapping into resources from providers around the globe.

The initial tokenomics for RNDR kicked off with a public sale from 6 October to 12 October 2017, quickly followed by a private sale from January to May 2018. During this period, they moved over 4.65 million RNDR tokens at $0.25 each.

RNDR’s capped supply is set at 536,870,912 tokens. Post-sales periods saw early adopters join the Beta Testnet up until the protocol’s public launch on April 27th, 2020.

A breakdown of allocations shows that only 25% of RNDR tokens were sold to the public. Ten percent was earmarked for reserves while an impressive 65% remains in escrow — to modulate network supply and demand fluidity.

The pivotal Genesis release on June 24th, 2019 marked RTNR’s transition from the Ropsten testnet into its current framework. The team strategically purchased an additional 45 million tokens on Probit in March 2020 amidst favorable market conditions.

RNDR Credits add another layer of utility by enabling creators to buy rendering power using PayPal and Stripe — although these credits remain non-exchangeable outside their intended use.

Utility-wise, RNDR offers more than just transaction facilitation — it’s an ERC-20 compatible utility token primarily for animation, motion graphics, and visual effect rendering within its network.

Through this protocol, anyone equipped with modern GPUs can contribute rendering power and earn tokens in return. This exchange system seamlessly matches render requests with available processing nodes across the network.

Payment for rendered jobs is straightforward; costs calculate in Render tokens which get transferred post-task completion — offering users flexibility to withdraw or convert their earned tokens into fiat at will.
